Saturday night, Oct. 3, the Roughrider girls will head to Cedarcrest Golf Course in Marysville to compete in the Tomahawk Twilight Invitational Meet. The bus will leave RHS at 2pm and return around 9pm.
Admission is charged for this meet: $4 for adults, $2 for children and $10 for families.
Spectator Parking will be at Grace Academy which is across the street from the golf course, Cedarcrest Middle School, Marysville Bethlehem Church (South of the Course) and Grove Elementary (also South of the Course).

Another beautiful fall day at Lake Sammamish State Park for the Bellevue Invitational. The Roughrider girls’ had a great day beginning under overcast skies and then changing to blue sky to cap off the day. PRs were plentiful. Lucy Cheadle turned in the team’s best individual time, 19:11! Overall the team placed 16th. Thirty-one teams competed. Perennial running powerhouse Eisenhower of Yakima won the varsity meet. It was 85 degrees yesterday afternoon at Kirkland’s Big Finn Hill Park, but that didn’t stop the Roosevelt Girls from performing dazzling 5K runs. Garfield, Inglemoor and Liberty (Issaquah) competed against the green and gold. Meet results should be on athletic.net soon. Here’s a link to some pictures taken by a RHS parent at the meet.
This week’s meet will be hosted by Inglemoor High School on Wednesday, 9/23, at Big Finn Hill Park in Kirkland. For directions to the meet from RHS, click here. In addition to Inglemoor, Garfield and Liberty HS will be competing. The meet will start at 4:00 pm with the girls’ JV race.
The 2009 KingCo Preview XC meet will be held tomorrow afternoon beginning at 4:00pm at Lincoln Park, West Seattle. No details about start times for the various boys’ and girls’ races. Schools attending the meet will be:
