Rider Runner News – 10/27/15

What a great final week it was!

On Tuesday, we had heartfelt speeches by the juniors honoring the seniors at our annual senior rose ceremony! Thanks to Lydia and Natalie for organizing, coordinating pictures, and finding us a terrific venue for the event.

On Thursday, at the Metro League Championships, our team ran with courage and camaraderie. Coach Donna couldn’t have been prouder. Our girls placed 2nd in the Open event, behind Holy Names Academy. Our top 14 junior varsity team finished in 1st place, and our varsity came in 4th out of 14 total teams, qualifying them for the district meet this coming Saturday.  Results are posted here:

On Sunday, we had an amazing evening at the Brooks store, celebrating Dress to Impress. The Brooks Beasts spoke, prizes were awarded and everyone got a t-shirt. Thanks to the Williams family for arranging a terrific evening!

FYI, the district meet takes place on Saturday, October 31st, at 11:30, at Lake Sammamish State Park. We’ll send out an email to the varsity girls and their families with more specific details, but they should plan on working out over the next week. All girls on the team are invited to attend the district meet to cheer on our varsity!

Reminder: Uniforms are due in, washed, this week.

Reminder:  The end-of-season potluck party will take place in the RHS Commons on Thursday, 11/12/15, from 6pm to 8pm.

Thanks for your support!  Go Riders!
